How this tool thinks

The calculator tests every unique way to align a rectangular object's length, width, and height with the cargo space's depth, width, and height. Optional opening measurements are checked in the same orientation.

A fit with half an inch (1.27 cm) or less at the tightest point is marked borderline. Object volume is never used as proof of fit.

  • Measure between wheel wells, trim, hatch hardware, and the actual seat position.
  • A smaller hatch can block an object that would fit once inside.
  • Diagonal loading may help in real life, but it depends on the full insertion path and is not modeled here.

Why not use my car's cargo volume?

Cubic volume does not describe shape. A long, rigid box can have less volume than the cargo area and still fail at the opening or between wheel wells.

Does the calculator rotate the object?

Yes. It checks up to six distinct axis-aligned orientations. It does not simulate diagonal insertion, tilting through the hatch, or bending a flexible object.

Where are the vehicle-specific measurements?

They are intentionally not fabricated. A future database will only include dimensions with a source, configuration, and verification date. For now, manual measurements are the trustworthy option.

Does ‘fits’ guarantee I can load it?

No. It means the rectangular dimensions clear the measurements you entered. Interior curves, seats, trim, doors, and the physical loading path can still interfere.
